Cpl Edwin D. Carpenter of Co "C" 155th PA Vol. Inf. lies buried in the Fredericksburg National Cemetery next to his comrades. In the regimental history his grave location is listed as Sec B, Div C, Grave #215. Under the newer system his ghrave is marked with just a number at the top, his name, and the initials PA for Pennsylvania. He is among the few men with known graves.
